It seems to me that most of all Sharkey dislikes our Inn because it is the main place where people find out about the good news from distant cities. Even I have learned about the great cities of Gondor, Edoras, and such.

He knows that if any rumored evil becomes powerful in the east, we will spread the news and collect support for fighting him. No one sane wants him to rule Shire and Hobbitton, but perhaps maybe of his henchmen.

So what has he done to you so far?

He has poisoned our guests, made rats come around the Inn, and last night they did something which crossed the line and made us sure it was them. They attacked one of our Inn Keepers and cut his arm. We are hoping he will survive, but this calls for drastic measures.

*Grin* Indeed. There were two assailants that attacked him. One just kept guard, while the other drew a blade and cut his arm. They obviously just wanted to scare him, and us, as they only took two rings they found, nothing else. If you find one of them, bring back a ring you might find on them so I confirm.

They are someplace around the Shire and Bree, as usually I suppose. I will reward you the most if you get the man who attacked him, slightly less if you get his guard. We do not know what they look like, so I suppose you should just try to be lucky. Whoever you find, cut him down. We must show we can defend ourselves.
